Finally got to tick off another bucket list item.
Chris Dews and I hiked and skied Mt. Ngauruhoe and Tongariro, completing my mission to ski all of the 4 major volcanoes in the North Island.
After a cold night sleeping in the van, I awoke to a perfect day for a hike. The snow had melted quite a bit in the past week, but it meant for great corn skiing!
5 hours to the summit, and 8 hours return to the carpark.
