The Backcountry Invitational took place on Sunday January 12. A selection of the best freeriders and freestylers on the international scene put on a show. For the first time, we witnessed a triple backflip in a freeride backcountry competition (Jake Müller) and the first double backflip performed by girls (Astrid Cheylus and Mila Delerue). Germany’s Tiemo Rolshoven, a newcomer to the Freeride World Tour, and France’s Mila Delerue took the top step of the podium.
Date 2* : Monday, February 24, 2025 (reserve days: February 25 and 26) Date 3*: Wednesday, February 26, 2025 (reserve days: February 27 and 28) Around a hundred athletes are expected to take part in each of these two events, with entry tickets for the 3* and 4* FWT Qualifier competitions up for grabs respectively.
