In a heartfelt tribute to its longstanding employees, Big White Ski Resort Ltd. proudly announces a special ceremony to honour over 20 individuals who have dedicated more than 25 years of service. This event coincides with the resort’s 60th anniversary, highlighting the legacy of family ownership and operation that has stood the test of time.
For the resort, this celebration is not just an acknowledgement of years passed but a testament to our team members’ loyalty, commitment, and hard work. Each honoree received the prestigious Big White Swiss Cowbell, symbolizing their significant contributions and a cherished artifact within our community.
“Today, we are celebrating 13 people who have been a part of the Big White fabric for 25 years or more,” said Peter Plimmer, CEO of Big White Ski Resort Ltd. “It is truly humbling and an honour to be standing with these people today. They are all part of the spirit of Big White. I am very thankful to be part of the culture that was built by my grandfather, Des Schumann, and Uncle Peter Schumann, as we now have 21 people, including two of our directors and one staff who has worked for more than 25 years! It’s this strong backbone of talent and experience with these people who have dedicated their careers to Big White that sets up the future. On behalf of my family and the entire Big White community, I extend my deepest thanks to these remarkable individuals for all their hard work and effort, as without this team, this resort community would not be what it is today.”
